Writing can be a powerful tool for healing and personal growth. Lapidus exists to support people who work with words, written or spoken, to promote good wellbeing and mental health. Our members include writers, health workers, counsellors, therapists, teachers and more.

Lapidus International is seeking multiple organised and experienced administrators to support the company with a variety of administrative tasks. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with previous experience in a communications, social media, community management and website database management.

Lapidus has no fixed office. The majority of this role will be home-based and delivered online, via email and video conferencing. Current staff and voluntary board members are based around the UK. We will accept international applications.

What are Lapidus International looking for?

Below are three roles we are looking to fill in our organisation. If you have relevant skills for one or more of these roles, please let us know (only one application is required). Please be aware that there will most likely be crossover between these roles but not beyond the expected hours.

Purpose of roles - to be the main administrative hands behind Lapidus international. Each administrator will support the board in achieving its strategic goals, and will work day to day on specific administrative tasks for the company.

Please find below a summary of some of the main tasks expected from each role. As previously mentioned, there may be some crossover as the three administrators will work closely together.

Role 1:  Communication and Events Coordinator

  • - Responsible for internal and external communications of Lapidus International - this may involve answering questions from members, communicating with stakeholders, partners and any other interested parties as well as communicating between the board and other administrators.

  • - First point of call for any queries through the website contact form

  • - Passing on appropriate emails to members of the board, such as invoices to Treasurer

  • - Hosting Lapidus events online with the Lapidus Zoom account

  • - Simple budgeting for events

  • - Supporting the events team with Lapidus events calendar - communicating with facilitators, managing tickets and invoices. 

Role 2: Website and Membership Coordinator

  • - Updating events to website submitted by members

  • - Keeping organisation website up-to-date and secure 

  • - Monitoring website analytics and reporting back to the board

  • - Managing membership database (monitoring sign-ups, cancellations, updating as required)

  • - Providing membership number reports for board when requested

  • - Management of documents for organisation on company Google drive/Dropbox

  • - Management of tech systems for board (zoom, email, Dropbox, google drive, website hosting and domain names)

  • - Managing website content, uploading visual and written information as required. 

Role 3: Community Management and Social Media Coordinator

  • - Management, monitoring, and support of social media groups and community membership groups within the organisation

  • - Development of engaging social media content for company social media platforms

  • - Research of relevant and up-to-date news in the field of writing and wellbeing to be shared on the social media

  • - Creation of monthly members newsletter (Mailchimp)

  • - Ability to work to and develop a social media calendar that is relevant to the field and our membership.

 

These roles have no fixed hours – it may require occasional work on evenings and weekends (when we are running events or board meetings, for example). Some flexibility may be required, but most weeks you can work the hours when you want.
