As a retired counsellor/psychotherapist and Dance Movement Psychotherapist with an interest in words, I have many years’ experience of facilitating creative and therapeutic groups. My own words have been published widely. This has included several poems, short fictions, and I currently have a two-novel book deal with an American publisher.

Bonnie Meekums, PhD

Location of Practice:
North West, Manchester

My Doctorate used arts-based and more traditional qualitative research methods to investigate the recovery process from child sexual abuse trauma within arts therapies groups. I was, until recently when I retired from individual therapeutic practice, both BACP and UKCP registered. I remain a lifelong Fellow of the Association for Dance Movement Therapy UK.

Skills & Interests:
I love helping people to uncover the delight in creating their own work. I feel anyone can write. We all have a story to tell, and we can all express ourselves through poetic form. I aim to provide a safe space, fostering positive creative experiences that enhance wellbeing, promote connection, and leave participants feeling uplifted.
