What is therapeutic writing?
No creative writing experience necessary. It is not about grammar, spelling or the perfect sentence.
It is about expressing the self (whoever the self is at that moment) through creative writing in an encouraging and supportive environment.
We may share our writing. And, there is no obligation to share. Everything is confidential.
I offer creative writing prompts and a poem to facilitate:
– Reflection
– Grounding in the moment
– Writing freely.

Look forward to writing with you!

Other events you may like
You’ve had a crazy week or you’re preparing for a busy one, you might be craving a moment of calm. My Weekend Reset workshop in The Wellness Writing Room offers you a safe place to reflect and recharge. Across 90 nourishing minutes, I’ll guide you through therapeutic creative writing exercises, with time for optional sharing, active listening, reflection and gentle discussion, all held within a supportive, non‑judgemental online writing room.
This workshop isn’t about learning to “be a writer”. It’s about using writing as a tool for grounding, clarity and emotional well-being. You don’t need experience, confidence or perfect grammar. I simply invite you to bring a pen and paper (or a laptop if it’s your preference) and a willingness to explore what emerges when you give yourself time to write.
In my Weekend Reset, you will experience:
• a guided visualisation, mindfulness or breathing exercise to help you settle and centre
• therapeutic writing exercises and prompts designed to support your well-being
• spacious moments for reflection, discussion and optional sharing
• how writing can gently unlock insight, ease and self‑connection
So why not join me for my Weekend Reset in The Wellness Writing Room, to pause, reflect and reconnect with yourself, as well as connecting with others?

Want to help shape the future of the Lapidus Magazine?
We’re hosting a friendly, informal open meeting for anyone curious about becoming a co-editor. This is an opportunity to find out what the role involves, how the editorial process works, and how you might contribute your skills, ideas, and perspective.
Whether you’re an experienced editor, a regular reader, or simply someone who cares about the magazine and the community it represents, you’re very welcome to join. We’ll share an overview of the role, what support is available, and the level of commitment involved, as well as hearing from those who have already expressed interest. There will be plenty of time to ask questions, explore possibilities, and decide whether this could be a good fit for you.
This is a no-pressure space to learn more, connect with others, and consider how you might get involved in shaping the next chapter of the magazine.
About the Lapidus Magazine
The Lapidus Magazine is our members’ publication, and showcases writing, ideas, and reflections from across the Lapidus community. It provides a space for thoughtful exploration of writing for wellbeing, creativity, and personal development, highlighting the diverse voices, experiences, and practices of its members.
As well as sharing articles, creative work, and insights, the Magazine helps foster connection within the community and supports the organisation’s wider mission. It offers contributors an opportunity to be published and heard, while giving readers access to rich, engaging content that reflects the breadth of work happening across Lapidus.
Co-editors play a key role in shaping each issue—working collaboratively to commission and select pieces, support contributors, and bring the publication together. It’s a chance to influence the direction of the magazine, nurture emerging voices, and contribute to a meaningful, creative project at the heart of the community.
