About Plumb Lines

Lapidus International is delighted to announce the creation of the Lapidus Publishing imprint which will publish and distribute all Plumb Lines projects. Plumb Lines projects are generously funded by a legacy gift from a Lapidus member to be used to promote writing for wellbeing projects.

These projects work with groups seeking to empower marginalised communities. They bring therapeutic and expressive writing to people as a means of expression, healing, and community building.

Flight

The first Plumb Lines project is an anthology titled Flight. Bringing together the poems on the theme of flying and flight, it celebrates the work of members of three organizations:

The Misfits Theatre Company, which is led by people with learning disabilities

Diverse UK, which works with adults who identify as autistic

Bristol Drug Project’s Lyrically Lifted, which uses creativity to engage adults affected by drug or alcohol use.
