Lapidus Publishing
Writing that heals, connects and inspires.

Introducing Lapidus Publishing and Plumb Lines
Lapidus International is delighted to announce the launch of Lapidus Publishing, our dedicated imprint for publishing and distributing Plumb Lines and other writing for wellbeing projects.
Plumb Lines projects seek to empower and give voice to communities who face barriers to publishing and promote writing for wellbeing within them. They bring therapeutic and expressive writing to people as a means of expression, healing, and community building.
A Legacy of Words and Wellbeing
Plumb Lines was established through a partnership between Lapidus International and the Plumb family, in memory of Katrina Plumb, a poet, educator, and tireless advocate for underserved voices.
Katrina worked closely with writing groups across Bristol and beyond, using creativity to promote healing, self-expression, and empowerment.
Following her death in 2021, the Plumb family sought to honour her life and values by supporting projects that reflect her belief in the transformative power of writing.

Flight: A Plumb Lines Anthology
The first project to be published under the Plumb Lines initiative, Flight brings together poems on the theme of flying and flight, celebrating the work of members from three organisations:
- The Misfits Theatre Company, led by people with learning disabilities
- Diverse UK, who work with adults identifying as autistic
- Lyrically Lifted by the Bristol Drugs Project, which uses creativity to engage adults affected by drug or alcohol use
Our Goals
- Support and promote writing groups working with communities underrepresented in publishing
- Amplify often overlooked voices and celebrate their contributions through publication
- Foster healing, connection, and expression through creative writing
- Create a lasting legacy in Katrina’s name through anthologies and ongoing partnerships
- Champion writing for wellbeing in all its forms
