Skills & Interests
A journalist of some 25 plus years, I’ve written for most of the legacy media: news, features and travel stories, environmental scoops and female-focused features, live music and band reviews and interviews. I’ve always had a creative outlet (ceramics, silversmithing, sculpture) and after a late-in-life Art Foundation course I decided to train in the Therapeutic Application of the Arts at IATE, London. After setting up in private practice as a counsellor using the arts I trained in Writing for Wellbeing with Writewell and studied Ecotherapy level 3 with the Natural Academy. I now focus mainly on running Expressive Writing groups for local women in my Kemptown home, helping people heal from past trauma, become more self-aware, or simply feel better in themselves. I love swimming, cycling, yoga and being out in nature.
