We are thrilled to present the first episode of Lapidus Magazine’s In Conversation With, a series we hope will become a regular feature.
Our debut episode welcomes Dr. Jeannie Wright, a long-time friend of Lapidus International and a pioneer in therapeutic writing. Jeannie, a Lapidus member since the 1990s, reflects on her nomadic career and the anchoring power of journalling during times of change. Jeannie also reflects on the power of therapeutic writing as a form of self-therapy, both in its own right and as an adjunct to conventional talking therapy.
Jeannie also discusses the vibrancy of the writing for wellbeing field, the importance of reflective practice, the persisting patriarchal barriers to women getting their voices heard globally, and how to nurture the next generation of practitioners to ensure writing for wellbeing’s sustainability and help increase its reach.
