The Board of Lapidus International has been working hard to provide members with value for money for their membership fees.  We have an enthusiastic team of volunteers and self-employed contractual staff working to deliver a more accessible and lively online presence, guidance, advice and useful materials.

Recently, we have been working to raise our voice on more platforms globally and to increase the opportunities for members to meet in person and attend more events.  We are aware of the greater interest in words for wellbeing as a therapeutic activity and have engaged in discussion about means of regulation and parity with other expressive arts.

We have launched the research arm of the organisation and have been seeking research opportunities that might generate income for the company and individual members.  In order to be able to maintain and develop our activities, we are seeking to ways to raise the necessary income.

We raised this issue at the AGM and members who were present unanimously decided that a small increase in the annual membership fee was suitable as one approach for dealing with this.  The vote supported a decision to raise the cost to £35 forthwith.

At the same time, members also suggested that we set up a fund for donations to help members in financial hardship to afford the cost.  We are working to make this a possibility.

We'd like to thank the membership for their continuing support, and look forward to bringing them bigger and better opportunities and resources in the years to come.
