Supervision Workshop with Monica Suswin  

Date: Sunday 22nd November & 6th December

These sessions are for practitioners using writing as an exploratory and therapeutic practice whether 1-1, or with groups in the community. I see supervision as a process within a settled space where the issues about clients and your working self may emerge safely.

Lapidus International AGM

Use your dreams to understand yourself better. Harness winter and tap into the still and wild beauty of winter, embracing the darkness and slowing down. Find meaning with winter poetry: Engaging in poetry by reflecting, listening and taking part in short poetry exercises and prompts. Understanding where we are in winter, harnessing and working with winter, cultivating acceptance, creating aspirations, hopes and gentle and goals to see you through the rest of the season. (Max 8 in a group.)

Before the Clock Strikes: Using poetry to find New Year gifts

Date: Thursday, 31st December 2020

Description: 

Reflecting and Rebirthing: Examining the highs and lows of 2020, ways we’ve grown or adapted, things we’ve learnt. Looking at poems of re-birth, reflection, and bravery. Participants will create, not New Year’s resolutions, but sankalpas (a more positive and yogic approach to goal-setting) for 2020 by using prompts from poem. Exploring what we will do with our one wild and precious 2021.

 Virtual Writing for Wellbeing

Date: Last Friday of each month

Time: 2:00pm-4:00pm

Where: Online

Cost: £10 per session 

Description: 

This is a small, friendly group that started meeting on a weekly basis during lockdown and is being continued as a monthly group. It involves using a range of writing for wellbeing techniques to explore and reflect on ourselves in the context of an uncertain world.

Reclaiming the Rainbow: A Six-Week LGBT+ Creative Wellbeing Course

Date: The course is 12 hours set over six Monday nights, starting on the 1st February and are as follows:

Session 1: Spirit and Serenity – 1st Feb

Session 2: Magic and Art 8th Feb

Session 3: Nature and Sunlight – 15th Feb 

Session 4: Grief and Remembrance – 22nd Feb

Session 5: Healing and Transformation – 1st March

Session 6: Life and Sexuality – 8th March

Cost: Full Price: £130; Concession (low wage): £100; Funded (no wage): £10.

Description: 

Join us for a multifaceted creative exploration of sexuality, gender and community, themed around LGBTQ+ rainbow flags. This online course is infused with wellbeing and connection, as we move through the Progress Pride flag’s colours and meanings, using them as a therapeutic guide to self-enquiry. From manifestos, spells and incantations, through to our connections to ecology. In a safe and contained environment, we’ll support each other around grief, loss and transitions. And, of course, we’ll celebrate relationships and sexualities, in their kaleidoscope of forms. Anyone with an interest in writing and creative wellbeing can attend. Members of the LGBTQIA+ community, of all gender and sexual identities are heartily welcomed. This will be a safe and inclusive environment where gender, gender expression and all sexualities are respected and celebrated.
