A pilgrimage is a meaningful journey. Often, people go on a pilgrimage when they are at a major crossroads in their life, or searching for spiritual experience, healing and forgiveness, but sometimes they are simply marking a significant birthday, retirement, recovery from illness or other occasion for giving thanks. The pilgrim’s path is both an inner journey and an opportunity to meet new people and see new places – which makes it an ideal topic for a writing workshop.
