Lapidus International is seeking a Freelance Marketing & Events Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of its marketing, communications and online events programme as the organisation enters the next phase of its Strategic Plan (2025–2029).
This role will play a central part in ensuring that Lapidus’s work — including events, publications and membership activity — is clearly communicated, well promoted and professionally delivered, helping the organisation to reach, engage and retain its new and existing audiences.
Role Summary
Contract: Freelance (contract for services)
Initial contract length: 12 months
Hours: Up to 450 hours
Contract value: Up to £8,100
Location: Remote, with online meetings and events as the norm
Contract start: Spring 2026, to be agreed

Role description
Working closely with the Membership & Creative Development Lead and the Board, the Freelance Marketing & Events Coordinator will support the planning and delivery of Lapidus’s communications, marketing and events activity.
The role-holder will coordinate marketing campaigns, digital content and online event logistics, ensuring that activity is delivered in line with the organisation’s strategic priorities, brand identity and agreed timelines.
Key services to be provided include:
Marketing & Communications
- Planning and delivering marketing activity for events, publications, membership growth and community benefit programmes
- Creating, scheduling and publishing content across channels including newsletters, website, video and social media
- Producing visual and written marketing materials in line with Lapidus’s tone and agreed visual identity
- Maintaining and updating the Lapidus website, event listings and video library
- Supporting and maintaining partnership communications and reciprocal marketing
- Monitoring engagement, analytics and member feedback
Events & Programmes
- Coordinating online talks, workshops and special events
- Managing bookings, ticketing, recordings and follow-up communications
- Editing and organising event recordings
Member Support
- Responding to standard membership enquiries
- Supporting onboarding and follow-up communications
- Maintaining accurate CRM records
Team working
- Attending working group meetings (online)
- Keeping shared calendars and documents up to date
- Providing feedback on delivery schedules and audience engagement
Person Specification
This role would suit someone who has:
- Experience in arts, culture, charity or wellbeing marketing and communications
- Confidence working across digital platforms including Zoom, Google Drive, MailChimp, WordPress and video
- Experience in supporting online events or digital programmes
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Clear, warm and professional written communication
- An interest in writing, creativity, mental health or wellbeing
