Keynote speakers announced for the 3rd European Biblio/Poetry Therapy conference

The keynote speakers for the 3rd European Biblio/Poetry Therapy conference (3EBPT) have been announced!

Mel Perry, Lapidus International’s Chair as well as a poet, spoken word performer and therapeutic writing facilitator, and Neil Astley, founder of the publishing house Bloodaxe Books, will deliver keynote speeches at the conference.

We are delighted to be partnering with The Poetry Practice as part of the organising team. The conference will take place in Canterbury, Kent, UK on Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd October 2026.

The organisers are now accepting proposals for presentations and workshops. The deadline for proposals is 3rd May 2026.

Registration is now open with a deadline of 13th September 2026. Spaces will are limited at the event so early booking is recommended.

Lapidus members and researchers who are new to the field may also be interested in a pre-conference day for researchers, early-career practitioners and students to meet and share projects more informally, on Wednesday 30th September.

More information on the conference, its speakers and the programme and how to book or submit a proposal can be found on the conference website, along with up to date news on the conference blog.
