on Saturday 18th September at 2.30pm, Truro Library, Cornwall
Lapidus Cornwall's 'Prompted to Write' 2nd Edition contains articles, poems and stories by over 30 contributors who participated in a three year lottery-funded series of workshops and training events. Some of the contributors are renowned in the field of reading and writing for health and well-being and some are widely published poets. For some other contributors, the book contains their first published piece of writing

Medicine Unboxed: Stories, Language and Medicine
starts from the premise that 'medicine is arguably as rooted in the arts as science'
and offers a programme of conferences which aspires to explore this view of medicine with front-line NHS staff. It is entirely an NHS initiative begun in 2009 through Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, again this year in partnership with the Times Cheltenham Literature Festival. See
