Prompted to Write Book Launch

on Saturday 18th September at 2.30pm, Truro Library, Cornwall

Lapidus Cornwall's 'Prompted to Write' 2nd Edition contains articles, poems and stories by over 30 contributors who participated in a three year lottery-funded series of workshops and training events. Some of the contributors are renowned in the field of reading and writing for health and well-being and some are widely published poets. For some other contributors, the book contains their first published piece of writing

Medicine Unboxed: Stories, Language and Medicine

starts from the premise that 'medicine is arguably as rooted in the arts as science' and offers a programme of conferences which aspires to explore this view of medicine with front-line NHS staff. It is entirely an NHS initiative begun in 2009 through Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, again this year in partnership with the Times Cheltenham Literature Festival.     Poetry, science and collaboration for ecological awareness - Scotland

    In May, July and August workshops inviting participants to 'Mind, Remind, Remember' will be held in Glasgow, Fife and near Edinburgh where participants will interact with plots of land making sculptures, poems, warnings, tributes, epitaphs & blessings considering biodiversity - the tapestry of infinitely varied organisms and habitats
